Morning Mercies for the Weary Woman

"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."
Lamentations 3:22–23

There is a quiet that lives in the moments before the world wakes up — the kind of quiet that says, 'Daughter, I have been here all night holding the lamp for you.'

Mercy is not something you earn into existence at sunrise. It is already laid out, like fresh linens, the moment your feet touch the floor.

You do not have to be impressive today. You only have to be present. The same Love that held the stars in place last night holds you in this morning.

A Prayer

Father, thank You that Your mercy meets me before my striving does. Help me to receive today not as a test to pass, but as a gift to unwrap. Amen.

For Reflection
  • Where am I trying to earn what has already been given?
  • What would change if I began today already loved?
